Financial Officers Forum (FOF)
FEI Silicon Valley, FEI Sacramento and FEI Arizona presents FOF.
FOF focuses on issues faced by senior finance professionals (e.g. CFOs, Controllers, VP Finance) who currently provide consulting services to companies. Attendees develop topics for discussion primarily reflecting current client situations and share best practices, personal experiences and their connections, all entirely on a confidential basis – similar to a Vistage format. This Affinity Group should be of interest to all CFOs, Controllers and their advisers, regardless of industry sector. Also you may be interested in what consulting CFOs are seeing out there.
Topics we have discussed have included accounting systems for small businesses, PEO pros and cons, compensation ideas for small company board of director members, 606 auditor experiences and measurement/internal reporting methodologies for SAAS companies.

Ed Schaffer said: I have been an FEI Silicon Valley member for a while now, and am currently an officer, but one of the events I enjoy the most is our regular Financial Officer’s Forum. In collaboration with the Arizona, San Francisco and Sacramento chapters, this Affinity Group brings together senior finance professionals in an informal exchange of issues, ideas and solutions that my peers may have encountered in their own professional experience. More than many other venues, this ability to share collective experience provides an invaluable opportunity to both learn from others and share my own lessons in practical contexts. Above all, this is one of the benefits I value the most from my FEI membership and participation! |
